Unique bicycle tour to the Bangkok Jungle
The Jungle Tour is our popular half-day bicycle tour. In a small group, you ride on a comfortable, bike made from bamboo. On quiet paths, we guide you through authentic Thailand. This is where the local community lives in wooden houses between jungle-like stretches of palms and banana trees. It is just across the river from downtown Bangkok, but you will be impressed by the striking contrast between the two sides of the river.
Your adventure starts at the Khlong Toei pier, where your guide waits for you. A traditional longtail boat takes you to Jaeb’s pier on the other side of the Chao Praya river. At Jaeb’s place you receive a special welcome drink. While the guide briefs you about what you can expect, our staff will prepare your bamboo bicycle. Once we get going, we pedal at a leisurely pace making sure everying is feeling comfortable and enjoying the ride. That is also the reason why we have small groups only. We care about your experience.
Your guide takes you off-the-beaten track to places that would be hard to find if you are not a local. You learn many interesting facts about the history of the area, the culture and the abundant flora & fauna. You may get a glimpse of kingfishers, canopy-dwelling squirrels or giant monitor lizards.
The activities include a walk around a traditional village built over water, a visit to a small local museum and watching how mushrooms are being grown at a farm. At the beautiful Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, with its shaded cycling lanes and bird watching tower, you will have a break and a chance to feed the fish in the pond.
